Roger Clemens was a MLB pitcher for many years and was well accomplished throught his career. Among his many accolades, he won the most Cy Young Awards (an annual award for baseballs best pitcher) in history with 7, he was an 11 time all-star, and he is one of four pitchers in history to have more than 4000 strikeouts. But with much success, his life and career has taken many blows along the way. He was named in The Mitchell Report (a document regarding steriod users) as a user of steroids. He has claimed his innocence repeatedly but most baseball people (including me) think hes guilty. He is also now on the verge of standing trial for perjury and other charges in relation to his denial under-oath of steroid use. The trial has already taken strange turns, with one accuser of Clemens and his former trainer, Brian Mcnamee stating that he injected Clemens with steroids and even kept the syringes to use as evidence if Clemens ever denied his usage. Another matter which has deminshed Clemens' legacy is his suspect affair with country music singer Mindy McCready. What sets this affair apart was that the then married Clemens was 28 and McCready was only 15. Clemens' unrational thinking throughout the years has got him neck deep in scandals and potential legal trouble. I guess our superstars aren't always who we think they are.By: Jason
